Solid metal jeep skid plate. It mounted perfectly and was fairly easy to install.. I sprayed line-x over it before installation and would doubt ever having to replace it again. If your is rusted out and old then this is a bolt on plate. For the price it really improved the looks of the jeep and makes me feel safer knowing the fuel tank is not going to drop out the bottom at any time....
